About Janine
Former lawyer and teacher, lifelong learner.

MY STORY
I’m a retired 7th-grade English teacher and former attorney with a lifelong love of education, reading, and writing. I spent 22 years at Pentucket Regional Middle School, helping students discover literature and develop their creativity. Before teaching, I worked as a lawyer, where I honed my analytical skills and sense of justice.
At 49, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a challenge I continue to navigate with resilience. Now retired, I spend my time blogging about education, literature, and life with Parkinson’s. Writing allows me to share my experiences, reflect, and stay connected with others.
